Terms of use
DietLens's terms of use and community guidelines. Version 2026-10-29.
Who can use DietLens
You must be 18 or over to share anything on DietLens. Before your first post you confirm that you are, and that you accept these terms. Your account is for you alone: keep the phone and Google account you sign in with safe.
What you can share
DietLens is for food and drink: meals, dishes, snacks, drinks, ingredients, cooking and your own recipes. Everyone signed in to DietLens can see what you share. Nutrition numbers are estimates, not advice.
Community guidelines
Do not share, in a photo, a caption, a recipe or your username or display name:
- anything that is not food or drink;
- harassment or bullying, or anything meant to hurt or threaten someone;
- hate against people for who they are;
- nudity or sexual content;
- spam, advertising or misleading links;
- anything illegal, or that encourages harm;
- photos of other people without their permission, or photos someone else took without theirs;
- pages of cookbooks, magazines or other people's recipes you do not have the right to share.
Your content
What you share stays yours. By sharing it you give DietLens permission to store it and show it to people signed in to DietLens, until you delete it or your account. You confirm you have the right to share it. People who see a post can take a screenshot of it, which DietLens cannot stop.
Reports and removal
Anyone signed in can report a post or a person; reports go to DietLens's administrators. They may hide a post that breaks these terms - it then disappears for everyone but you, and you can delete it - or deactivate an account, which signs it out and hides its profile and all its posts. Nobody is told who reported them. You can also block someone: then neither of you sees the other's posts or profile.
Leaving
You can delete a post, or your whole account and everything in it, at any time - see Delete your account. What DietLens keeps, and why, is on the privacy page.
Changes
When these terms change, the version above changes, and you are asked to accept them again before your next post.
